Asian American woman was hit

The victim, of Asian origin, suffered numerous lacerations and contusions to her face and head as well as facial bone fractures and brain bleeding the police reported and added the victim was in stable condition and in an inpatient hospital.

At 6:11 p.m. Police were called to an apartment to investigate disagreements. The police were not able to reveal the exact location of the building beyond the fact that it’s situated in the Third Precinct, which covers the southwest portion of the city.

Police found the woman suffering severe facial injuries inside the vestibule of the building, and she was transported to the trauma center. The suspect was discovered at the entrance of the building, and was arrested without incident, police reported.

Esco was originally accused of second-degree attempted murder and assault second-degree. The investigation by the police continued, and on Monday Esco was arrested in a an overriding felony complaint in Yonkers Criminal Court with those charges being hate crimes, as per the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

It was reported that the Yonkers woman was on her way to her home when she observed the suspect on the close proximity to the structure, as per police. When she passed him, he made a snide comment at her.

The victim resisted his suggestion and went into the vestibule. She tried to open the second entrance to gain access to the lobby when suddenly, the suspect came from behind, and punched her head on the inside which slammed her into the ground, police reported. The suspect then stood over her and punched her on the face and the head multiple times.

Westchester District Attorney Mimi Rocah said, “Our hearts are broken for the victim,” saying that “we are also aware that people in the community could be affected by trauma and fear because of the event. It is our intention to continue to collaboration with our community and our government partners throughout the county to offer support to the community by providing training and education on discrimination and hate in local schools or senior centers, as well as other community-based organizations.

Esco is managed by Legal Aid Society of Westchester County The organization has declined to comment.

Esco was sentenced to over two years jail between 2011 and 2013 following having pleaded guilty to assault in the second degree in a felony after the mother of his daughter was stabbed by him at his Yonkers apartment in 2010. court records reveal.

Prior to that, the sentence was imposed, he was sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to third degree illegal possession with a controlled substance arising from an arrest in 2009.
